Waterproof roof coatings
Waterseal are able to offer a range of bespoke coating systems which provide a guaranteed waterproofing solution to a variety of roof structures including: flat roofs, green roofs and podium decks.
Utilising similar technologies to those developed for the car park range of waterproofing systems, the majority of our roof coating systems include a state of the art, spray applied membrane which allows ease of detailing to previously considered, awkward details.
Where one of these systems is to remain visible, a range of aliphatic colours can be selected from to be incorporated within the top coat, which as well as allowing an aesthetically pleasing finish to be achieved, allows pedestrian walkways to be delineated within the system, assisting with health and safety requirements.With green roof systems becoming increasingly popular in attempts to improve environmental aesthetics and urban air quality, our spray applied flexible membranes can be installed in-conjunction with a range of grass systems with the membranes being resilient enough to prevent root penetration.This same principle can be applied to buildings which incorporate landscaped basements and roofs, now generically referred to as podiums.Incorporated in the services offered by Waterseal are a range of surface preparation and insulation options with more details on these, being available on request.
By introducing this versatile protective waterproof barrier in a seamless and monolithic installation, it allows areas to be rendered waterproof in short contract times with up to 1,000m² being able to be sprayed in a day.
With all of our roofing systems incorporating a preconditioning coat, this allows a chemical bond to be achieved to a wide variety of substrates including, concrete, asphalt, asbestos, felt and a wide range of insulation systems. The majority of roofing systems are completed with either a protective or UV stable top coat depending on whether the coating is to be covered or exposed.
